CONCESSION ATTENDANT
Pay Grade: 100 - $15.00/hour Dept: Parks & Recreation
Exempt: No Reports to: Parks and Rec Director
Hours: 15-20 per week Date: October, 2023
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting in the operations of a sports facility concession stand at the Sperling Sports Complex.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to provide excellent guest service while working in a sometimes fast paced environment
- Serve food and beverages to customers
- Proper cash handling including greet and service guests at the registers, taking orders, and accepting payments, cash or debit and credit cards.
- Replenishing foods at serving stations
- Prepare food such as hot dogs, popcorn, nachos.
- Prepare bills for food and drink using cash register, calculators. Accept payment and make change
- Clean and sanitize equipment, counter tops, floors, dishes
- Stock and restock items as necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Prior customer service experience is preferred. High school graduation or GED is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The applicant must have the ability to establish and maintain effective communication with other employees and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY: The applicant must have the ability to count cash and give correct change.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Candidate will be reliable, trustworthy, dependable
- Candidate must have good customer service skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours that includes nights, weekends and possibly holidays
- Standing, stooping, and bending for long periods of time
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ADA: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, climb, walk, stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and push. The employee may be required to operate equipment, work outside in various weather conditions.
